Long before I was pregnant, I first spotted the Award Winning Xplory by Stokke whilst on a weekend break to London. We were on the underground, it was busy and crowded as usual. Getting ferried along in the conveyor bely style that the Undeground is so famous for. To my Right there it was, a Xplory by Stokke in Red. To be honest I didnt really look a the baby, what struck me was the sheer height. The baby was literally at arm height. Just the height you would safely cradle. So close to its parents and always in view, not getting struck by shopping bags or marching commuters. Immediately on my return, I googled 'Height High Pushchair" resulting in Stokke's Xplory. I clicked the link and WOW! The innovate and contemporay design won my affections instantly! In actual fact, you could say, one of the reasons for getting pregnant again, for me, was the Stokke Xplory!

If you shop around and price match, you are able to get this carraige at quite a reasonable price. Second hand options are always available too.

where shall I start?

I love everything that Stokke designs for the Xplory. Every accessory they release is well worth the money, if only for appreciating the design and craftmanship and the quality is second to none.

I purchased a cream Xplory complete (Babybag) as well as the Forest Cream Accessory pack. I call it my Channel colours. The babybag (name of the carrycot) is well made with pockets for storing bottles and ventilation slots in the base. Also the base is curved. Enabling the cot to be rocked on the floor! It had padded carrying handles ( that double up as harness strap covers on the pushchair ) It is a good size too, as my LO was 8lb 9 oz at birth, and measuring off the centile for length. She used it up to 5.5 months, I only swapped to the seat unit, so she enjoy the view.

It was Feb when I swapped the seat over so I purchased the Footmuff in Forest Cream. I was using the forest cream hood with the babybag, so being the fashion icon I am, new season, new stlye

DO NOT DELETE - MUM"S STICKY

Super Stylish, Stokke Stroller - In a variety of mix and match colours. Be a cut above the rest - literally!

Adjusting handle height is particularly useful, not just for the obvious - difference in peoples height but for wearing heels. I discovered this one the other day whilst venturing out in a pair of heels for the first time since being pregnant. Also I am forever adjusting the handle whilst in Cafes etc to make sure no one knocks my beloved. It fits thro the narrowest legal doorway allowed at 22.5 in, Only fold up buggies do this normally. I could rave all day but space doesnt permit, so last but by no means least. Has to be the adjusting seat height! Increasing interaction and satisfaction

Theses are all niggles, not really cons by my standards. Anything with an action is colour coded white - GENIUS but this includes the brake! in trying to preserve its cleansiness, I find myself bending down and operating with my hand! Ridiculous I know! So a change of colour to say RED for STOP. Also with the Changing Bag attached with the seat facing you in the upright position, it is impossible with the footrest attached!! Which incidently needs two hands to adjust! I have removed mine. Making changing into Highchair mode easier without it. A slightly larger hood would be useful too.

I first laid eyes on the Award winning Xplory by Stokke, way before I was expecting! My husband and I were being ferried along, conveyor belt style in The Ungerground. It was crowded. To my right, there it was the Stokke Xplory in Red. It was the sheer height of the seat that caught my eye. On my return I searched the net for' HIGH Level height pushchair' Resulting in the Xplory. At this stage I had not even seen the contemporary design. Only the height! I was, and still am smitten. I have 2 older DD's so I am well aware of 'Pram ENVY' which accompanies motherhood. Pram Envy to all new mums and to be's is when you find yourself envious of other prams and slowly wandering was it hormones that impaired your judgement, whilst originally choosing yours? This is the stage many ditch theirs for a light weight buggie.(McClaren types) I know I wont, quite simply due to the height uniqueness! If it can prolong my shopping trips - its worth every penny! So far I have ventured on both the London Underground, (using the 2 wheel mode, completely missing the LIFT. Only seeing it on the way back) and the bus. LO was looking out of the window completely at my head level, loving the whole experience. It fits into the boot of our Ford Focus, without having to remove the Changing Bag or shopping bag. I can also open doors one handed and push Xplory thro, turning on its own footprint all with one hand! The materials of the textile set are durable and repellent, offering variety colours

As soon as I clapped eyes on the lovely pushchair - Xplory by Stokke. I was in LOVE.. The quality of the accessories, not only in craftmanship but the level of design and detail of thought that has gone into each of their products. I purchased the complete Xplory, which includes the babybag. This is commonly called the carrycot in the UK. The carrycot base has ventilation slots reducing over heating, as well as being curved, for rocking when on the floor. It definitely is spacious. My LO was off the centile for length and she still stayed in it till she was 5.5 months. Only swapping the seat unit, to improve her view! Thats what we bought it for! Being February when we swapped, I purchased the Footmuff. This is very warm and all you need with the included raincover for the Winter. The material is robust and repellent and very durable.

I have been on many an adventure with the Xplory. Using the unique two wheel mode in a variety of situations. Like when the snow came down quite suddenly one day. Pulling was definitely easier than pushing then. I have successfully negotiated Train, Tube, Taxi, Bus and of course Car - Fitting and folding easily into the boot of my Ford Focus, with the changing bag and shopping bag still attached. The bus was especially memorable, as LO was mesmerised with her view out of the window. Her head being exactly level with mine.

It handles like a Porsche. Infact a man once commented on it being the Porsche of pushchairs, he wasn't wrong. I can actually open doors and turn it on its footprint, all with one hand when entering shops. The handles adjustable height is actually a lot more useful than you first realise. High heels versus flats, make a hell of a difference to height. A couple of clicks and tah dah, no stooping or accidently straining your back. Also useful in compact cafes, shops or public transport.

The shopping bag is compact and flat when not in use, unfolding to hold a huge amount of shopping.

The Changing bag, I find this roomy enough to hold everything for a day out, and I mean everything. This I keep attached to the chassis, opening like you would a boot, of a car. Removing an inner pouch with everything I need to change LO's nappy.

Another unique feature of the Xplory, is the ability to use as a height adjustable highchair. Giving you the option of those high stools in eateries. The seat angles at 90 degrees making it completely safe for feeding.

My only three qualms with the Xplory, are extremely minor. These include the foot Brake, whilst brilliant that there is no central bar to knock your toes on. Its WHITE! (everything white on the Xplory has an action - GENIUS - bar the footbrake) and I ridiculously find myself bending over and applying it with my hand - thus avoiding getting it dirty! If this was, say RED for STOP, it would make dirt less noticeable.

The changing bag attached, prevents the seat being in the fully upright, facing position which is not possible, with the footrest attached. I have removed my footrest. LO's legs are too short to touch it at the moment. She will be facing forwards by the time she needs it back on, so it wont cause a problem then.

Finally the hood it has to be in the fully pulled up position, whilst the raincover is in place! Blocking the view somewhat for both parties. It could do with a push back visor or mesh extension to maintain visiabilty.

I love my Xplory and feel completely satisfied that this will be my only pushchair! Unless they unviel a new one, before my LO is 3.

Starting and not stopping!

Right, I have decided to actually put some effort into just one area of my
Life!

Which bit? I don't know.. Yet!

Dunno if it's maternity leave looming to the end or if it's just blimmin hormones. Eithier way, I feel as if i am drowning!

Keep having really scared thoughts about the future and how we will manage. Which, one way or another will right it's self without any intervention. (I hope)

Got a meal booked with the girls (met at Antenatal) tonight for a curry! I may ask them how they are feeling - then again maybe not.

My BLW bib idea seems to be a lot of effort. Then again hard work does tend to pay off. Might crack on with my webpage layout, then can blame any delay on Rich lol.

TBH I need to pull my finger out !
